Ventnor Beaches Get A Makeover!



Last week, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers did a complete dredging of Ventnor beaches! There have been talks of doing this for years, and while the Army Corps were in Atlantic City in mid July, they let Ventnor City officials know that if they wanted their beaches replenished, now was the time. The city agreed, and after about a week of nonstop work, miles of beaches, from Sacramento on down to almost Margate, were widen. Before the dredging, there had been virtually no beach during high tide and the shoreline was right up against the boardwalk. Now, there is plenty of room for people to spread out, soak up the sun, and enjoy the beach. This makeover has delighted many residents and tourists, and came just in time for them to enjoy the last month of summer.
