Celebrating 130 years of Lucy the Elephant, Michael Thomas Benson's a Mending a Tall Tail is the first ever art exhibit within Lucy the Elephant. It's purpose is to help raise funds for repairing Lucy's tail damaged in a windstorm on September 11th, 2009. The show includes 14 photo illustrations that depict Lucy as an important landmark and shared memory in the lives of those who live near or have visited Lucy.
The opening is June 4th, 20011 at 6 pm, and all are welcome.
There is a $7 entrance fee which goes to the Save Lucy Committee, a non-profit that sets out to maintain and repair the much loved and admired Lucy the Elephant in Margate, New Jersey.
The show will be from June 4th to September 6th.

Between 20 to 50% of the proceeds of each work go to the Save Lucy Committee.
