Happy Tuesday! We here at Mark Arbeit and Co. are working hard before the holidays to bring you the best of the Jersey Shore. Today, we have another Jersey Shore Spot of the week for Tuesday's feature!
Scout Clothing and Decor
Ventnor City, NJ
Hanna Sinderbrand, Margate native, opened Scout to bring comfortable, chic fashion of New York City or Los Angeles to the Jersey Shore. The clothes and home accessories are for young and old alike.
The name Scout stands for the act of scouting, or searching for something old or new--the idea of going out and finding what you love.
The Clothes: An eclectic mix of vintage and new items, with a large amount of contemporary clothing and a small variety of vintage clothing. The classics are all there: Blue jeans and cotton T-shirts, sweaters, comfortable clothes you can wear anywhere and for anything. One featured brand, Alternative Apparel, includes tees that are somewhat oversize and longer, in all different colors. The main denim line, James Jeans, features jeans that are designed for women instead of teenagers.
The Decor: Scout features a small amount of contemporary decor items combined with a large amount of vintage home decor. The vintage accessories include trinkets and keepsakes from across the country and Europe, from glassware to martini shakers to perfume bottles. The furniture display features a chest, a chair and a desk that are also for sale. The store is expecting contemporary home decor items from N.Y. designer Jonathan Adler, including salt and pepper shakers, backgammon sets, and other gift pieces.
Location: 5301 Atlantic Ave., Ventnor City, NJ
